Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Weld AI  ·  York, England

Plain English summary: We install AI software on your server. You pay a one-off installation fee. The software runs on your infrastructure. You're responsible for your own API costs with Anthropic. We provide reasonable support but can't guarantee the software will meet every possible use case.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Weld AI's software installation services and any ongoing support provided by Weld AI ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Our services

Weld AI provides:

3. Installation and setup

The Weld AI software is installed on infrastructure owned and operated by you (the client). You are responsible for:

4. API costs and third-party services

Weld AI uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate answers. You are solely responsible for:

Typical API costs for an SME are in the range of £2–10 per month, but this varies with usage. We make no guarantee about Anthropic's pricing or availability.

5. Payment terms

6. Intellectual property

The Weld AI software remains the intellectual property of Weld AI. Your installation licence is non-transferable and covers a single installation on a single server. You may not:

Your documents, data, and configuration remain entirely your property.

7. Support

Support is provided on a best-efforts basis by email at hello@weldai.uk. We do not offer guaranteed response times or service level agreements.

The Weld AI software runs on your own server infrastructure. Day-to-day server maintenance, Windows updates, network connectivity, hardware issues, and data backups are the responsibility of your own IT support team or IT provider.

Support incidents after the initial 30-day support period are charged at £75 per incident. A support incident is defined as a single reported issue with the Weld AI software requiring investigation by Weld AI.

All customers receive a free 30-minute check-in call at 30 days after installation.

8. Confidentiality

We treat all information about your business, documents, and staff as strictly confidential. We will not disclose any client information to third parties without your written consent, except where required by law.

9. Warranties and limitations

We warrant that the software will perform substantially as described. However:

Our total liability to you in connection with any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

10. Data and security

Because the software runs on your server, you are the data controller for all documents and conversation data processed by the software. We recommend you maintain appropriate security measures on your server and refer to our Privacy Policy for details of how we handle personal data you share with us directly.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate ongoing support agreements with 30 days' written notice. Termination does not affect any outstanding payment obligations. The software installation on your server remains functional after termination — you are not locked out of your own data.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify existing clients of material changes by email. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance.
